THE ARTIST JOHN STEVENS Born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, John Stevens became aware of his creative ability at the early age of 5 and developed a zest for the arts as he cultivated his talent. He won art contests in high school and continued to achieve recognition beyond that of his high school peers as Florida U.S. Senator Bob Graham’s wife acquired one of his illustrations, a portrait of a child. John knew where his path would take him after receiving an invitation to attend an event held by the Senator.
John Stevens graduated from college in his home town with a Graphic Arts and Advertising Design degree. His career in illustration blossomed as he won a prestigious award from L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators Of The Future contest, an international competition for science fiction illustrators. His professional talent came to the attention of Dell Magazine where he illustrated stories for Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and many others. This talented artist work has been noted in Bride Publication, North Star Press and National Examiner as well as in several books.
